Nathan Samii of the Middlebury baseball team has been tabbed NESCAC Player of the Week after helping pace the Panthers to a weekend series sweep of Williams. The honor is the first of Samii's career.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The Panther excelled against the Ephs, tallying seven hits in 15 plate appearances. Six of those went for extra bases, headlined by a team-high five doubles.
• Over the series, Samii led Middlebury in runs scored (seven) and total bases (15), alongside six RBI.
• He surpassed the 100 career hit mark and currently sits with 105 in a Panther uniform.
• Defensively, Samii was just as strong, tallying a team-high 10 assists and two putouts.
• The infielder leads the team in batting average (.382), on-base plus slugging (OPS) (1.151) and doubles (13). 

Samii and the Panthers return to the diamond on Monday afternoon for a conference battle with Amherst scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
