Women’s Golf Opens Spring Campaign In Massachusetts

Morgan Lee led the Panthers with a share of 17th overall.

The Middlebury women's golf team claimed a share of sixth overall with Bowdoin at the Jack Leaman Invitational with a score of 322. Ninth-ranked New York University (NYU) secured the top spot with a 296, while #11 Amherst (306) and #8 Williams (309) rounded out the top three. The invite was shortened to a single 18-hole round on Sunday after Saturday's round was canceled due to weather.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Morgan Lee shot a 78 to earn a tie for 17th place with three other competitors.
  • Two Panthers garnered a share of 27th in Ella Han and Audrey Tir with identical 80s. Han had a team-high three birdies.
  • Mia Politano was the final scorer for the Panthers, carding an 84 to place 43rd. 

NOTES

  • Teagan Duffy competed as an individual and fired a 90 to finish 58th.

Middlebury hits the road on Saturday and Sunday when it competes in the Williams Spring Invitational.
