Panther Women’s Cross Country Quartet Earns USTFCCCA Mideast Laurels

Four Panthers earned all-region accolades.
Four members of the #19 Middlebury women's cross country team posted United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors from the organization. Audrey MacLean, Bea Parr, Victoria Fawcett and Kate Ratcliffe garnered the laurel based on their performances at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship. The all-region distinction is given to runners who finish in the top-35 at each regional event.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
  • MacLean paced the Panther efforts, finishing in third place with a clocking of 20:58.6, just 11 seconds behind the winner. The regional accolade is the second in as many years after racing to a runner-up spot a year ago.
  • A captain this season, Parr picked up her third career all-region award with a 14th-place time of 21:54.9.
  • Also cracking the top-30 spots to garner her initial regional laurel was Fawcett in 29th with a clocking of 22:24.5.

Middlebury received one of the 22 at-large bids to the NCAA Championship and will compete for a national title at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday from the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
